BITA appoints new technical manager

David Goss has become BITA’s new technical manager, succeeding Bob Hine, who retires at the end of February.

He joins BITA from Advanced Handling where he was technical director with extensive knowledge of a wide range of lifting and handling equipment.

He has also played an active role on various technical and trade association committees, most recently with the Association of Loading & Elevating Equipment Manufacturers (ALEM).

James Clark, secretary-general of BITA, said: “We are very pleased to have David joining us as our technical manager. He brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the role, and we are looking forward to welcoming him at the end of February.”

And Goss said: “BITA is a high profile organisation with a reputation for delivering an excellent range of services to its members. I am very much looking forward to representing the interests of BITA members in the UK, Europe and Internationally, as well as providing them with the technical information and support they need.”
