Briggs Equipment acquires Hiremech

Briggs Equipment is to strengthen its London and South East presence through its acquisition of Hiremech.

Hiremech will continue to trade under its own name with all existing operational contacts remaining in place. It will represent the Hyster and Utilev fork lift truck brands and have access to Hako and JLG equipment.

Hiremech aims to continue to strengthen its position in the local market with the support of a national business said Hiremech managing director Paul Green.

This acquisition will “offer stronger support to our customers, improve efficiencies, benefit from economies of scale, and increase our market awareness and share for the future,” said Briggs Equipment managing director Peter Jones.

“We expect that Hiremech’s existing customer base will benefit from greater flexibility in financing, a wider choice of machines on long term rental and access to an extremely diverse range of equipment,” he added.
