British Airways adds new route from Salzburg

Increased winter schedule: New British Airways-flights to London Heathrow connect Salzburg’s industry with a global route network

Apart from London Gatwick, British Airways will also add London Heathrow to its Salzburg-flight offer from December. This increases the airline’s schedule to eleven weekly flights from Salzburg. As of 5 December 2015 two weekly flights to London Heathrow will be added to the existing nine weekly flights to London Gatwick. The new flights will offer connections to the global long-haul network of British Airways and oneworld partners.

On the Salzburg – London Heathrow route an Airbus A320 will be operated on Saturdays and Sundays. Thus the American continent with destinations such as New York, Boston, Buenos Aires or Sao Paolo, numerous destinations in South Africa as well as destinations in Asia such as Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Hong Kong will be quickly accessible from Salzburg.

„This new product connects us to two hubs in London,“ says Roland Hermann, airport manager. „The Salzburg region will benefit greatly from this additional flight to London Heathrow. What is also exciting are the new opportunities opening from Heathrow to long-haul destinations. “

A few weeks ago, British Airways has announced the launch of a new flight service from Vienna to London Gatwick in September. The winter flight schedule will offer up to 54 weekly frequencies from Austria to London to choose from – as many as never before in the more than 60-years history of the British Airways-link between Austria and London
