BS Handling expands Clipper site

BS Handling has completed the fit out of Clipper Logistics’ 300,000 sq ft DC in Grange Park, Northampton.

BS HandlingThe company expanded the goods on hangers racking, which can now store 1.5 million garments, six goods lifts, five new packing lane conveyors and 72 additional work benches.

The site is used as a UK and European e-fulfilment hub for a big international retailer. The expansion has been commissioned to increase stockholding due to growth in the business’ online business.

“We considered other suppliers for this contract but chose BS Handling as they are completely familiar with our requirements and our way of working,” said Ant Everett, engineering & technology director for Clipper Logistics. “They understand the importance to us of hitting deadlines but remaining flexible.
