Caddick Developments secures planning for mid-box warehouse scheme

Caddick Developments has won planning permission for the second phase of its Moor Park 25 scheme in Kirklees, West Yorkshire.

The five-unit second phase will total 180,000 sq ft with units ranging from 19,000 – 59,000 sq ft. Two of the Phase 2 buildings currently have occupier interest.

Moor Park 25 is a 15.4 acre new distribution and manufacturing development, located adjacent to the A62 between Huddersfield and Mirfield.

Caddick secured a 70,000 sq ft letting to US aerospace giant Wesco Aircraft on the first phase  of the £27.5m scheme which it is delivering in partnership with Taylor Wimpey. The housebuilder and Caddick were given permission to develop the scheme as a beds-and-shed proposal in 2018. Taylor Wimpey is set to build 166 homes two- to five-bedroom homes on adjacent land.

The site has been identified as one of ten Enterprise Zones within the Leeds City Region area by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority.

Avison Young and Dove Haigh Phillips are joint agents for the scheme.
