cargo-partner expands its headquarters in Fischamend

Following the recently started construction works of the Regional Distribution Center in Dunajska Streda (Slovakia) the cargo-partner corporate group is about to implement a second large-scale project in Centrope. At the company’s headquarters in Fischamend a modern logistics facility will be built to complement the existing distribution centre. The new building comprises a high rack storage providing about 7,000 pallet slots, including the option of establishing separate racks and order picking areas. A second hall with 22 loading ramps for cross docking in consolidated truck transport and new office areas for more than 100 additional employees will be added.

The additional building, implemented with a budget of EUR 10 million, is scheduled to start operating by February 2012. This measure enables the enterprise to make its customers’ procurement and supply logistics even more flexible and sustainable. After the expansion of their own logistics hub in Fischamend, the enterprise runs external warehouses in Parndorf and at the Port of Vienna, as well as the distribution centre in Bratislava, Slovakia, opened in 2007. Thus it operates a total of about 40,000 m² warehousing space within a range of 100 kilometres. However, CEO Mag. Stefan Krauter says „For our customers inner workings come first, meaning the well cooperating warehouse team, the high tech equipment, as well as software support and integration.

The cargo-partner brand represents an international forwarding enterprise, specialising on complex services in the segments transport and storage (air, ocean and truck transport; warehousing optimisation). The group employs 2,400 persons at more than 100 locations in 28 countries, and generated a turnover at around EUR 470 million in 2010.
