CEVA and Belmont sign ARS agreement

CEVA Logistics has signed an Asset Recovery Services (ARS) agreement with Belmont Trading, a company that recovers and recycles electronic products.

CEVA will be involved in the collection and recovery of five thousand pieces of IT equipment every month.

The operation, which started last month, sees CEVA carrying out the logistics operations for one of the top global computer manufacturers until 2012.

CEVA will also be responsible for the recovery of this equipment, including data cleaning using Belmont’s specific software, enabling its return to the market.

Although ARS is a relatively new segment in Brazil, CEVA considers this a promising area. In order to service Belmont in Brazil, CEVA has invested in a warehouse in Jundiaí (countryside of São Paulo), and has hired ten employees for this operation.
