CEVA extends its freight management agreement with Seadrill

CEVA Logistics has announced the extension of its current freight management contract with Seadrill, an offshore deepwater drilling company, to include the freight forwarding and supply chain logistics solutions for the Seadrill rigs operating in West Africa and the South Pacific.

CEVA has been working with Seadrill since 2008 and this latest extension to the existing Master Service Agreement adds the Seadrill rigs positioned in West Africa and the South Pacific to the portfolio of rigs supported by CEVA worldwide.

CEVA supports Seadrill’s worldwide operations at its Energy Hubs in Asia, Europe, and North America, providing supply chain management and freight management solutions. CEVA handles the transportation of the materials required to resupply Seadrill’s rigs operating in remote areas through its network of offices and the development and management of regularly scheduled air and ocean consolidation shipments from its Energy Hub Stations to the customer’s rigs worldwide.

Per Wullf, Chief Operating Officer of Seadrill commented: "Over the past three years, we have established a good partnership with CEVA and have been able to benefit from their integrated global network. Our sector faces many unique challenges in the movement of large and heavy equipment and the associated compliance requirements. CEVA has demonstrated a good understanding of these elements of our business and has proven their logistics expertise and professionalism by delivering us with excellent service."
