Change in Hapag-Lloyd Central Europe’s management board

Reinhard Neitzel succeeds Dirk Kaestner as Head of the Central Europe area in Vienna

A change took place at the management board of Hapag-Lloyd Austria Ges.m.b.H. in early May. After ten years of activity in Vienna, Dirk Kaestner passed control to Reinhard Neitzel, who was lately holding the function of general manager of the Swiss national company of the container shipping group. The born German will now be in charge of activities in Austria and neighbouring countries. Dirk Kaestner is from now working in Gothenburg, where he is attending to the region North Europe.

Hapag-Lloyd’s office in Vienna has 26 employees and coordinates the customer service and sales activities of the liner shipping company in Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Representatives of the enterprise referred to the Central Europe area as a key region with good growth opportunities at an event in the Ares Tower in Vienna. In this context they have also great expectations for the recently launched liner service Adriatic Express Service (ADX), operated between Rijeka, Koper, Venice, Ancona and Port Said as well as Damietta, with feeder options to the Far East, India, Australia and North America.
