Change of leadership with TFG Transfracht

Alfred Raithel (45), previous Head of Purchasing and Process Control, will be leaving TFG Transfracht with effect from December 1, 2016. He will be directly succeeded by Dr. Christoph Friedrich (38), who has held various positions at Transfracht since 2010.

Christoph Friedrich was latterly responsible for the Process and Quality Management and E-Business sector and will retain this remit in addition to his new tasks. In both capacities, he will report to Kerstin Corvers, Operations Manager at TFG Transfracht.

Over the last 20 years, Alfred Raithel has acquired and developed comprehensive expertise of combined transport at DB Intermodal Services and TFG Transfracht. He now plans to take over a new position in the wholesale logistics sector.

TFG Transfracht is the European market leader for containerized seaport hinterland transport. Every day, its nationwide AlbatrosExpress network links the ports of Hamburg, Bremerhaven and Wilhelmshaven with more than 15,000 destinations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

TFG Transfracht is a member of the Deutsche Bahn Group. In 2015, it handled a transport volume of 850,000 TEU and generated revenues of EUR 225 million.
