CILT hopes to attract talent with virtual careers fair

The CILT is launching its first ever live virtual careers fair for students looking for a career in logistics and transport. The interactive fair is to be streamed on the Institute’s Facebook page on 22nd November.

The fair will enable students to interact with prominent recruiters, leading organisations and high-profile industry professionals from the comfort of their own home, at no cost, and will gain a head start in understanding the profession and learn more about the opportunities available within the worlds of logistics and transport.

Companies including DHL Supply Chain, Sainsbury’s, Logistics Learning Alliance and XPO Logistics and will be there to answer questions directly in real time using the Institute’s online chat technology.

“This is an exciting and, potentially, highly rewarding event to attend and I encourage as many students as possible to get on board,” said Richard Atkinson, director of marketing and communications, CILT. “The logistics and transport profession is an innovative, fast-paced and challenging industry and we need as many young minds as possible to be open to the idea of working within this great profession.

“We are delighted to be working with our local college to put on this event and we hope it’s the start of an innovate and prosperous relationship.”

Students can register online for the free fair.
