CILT incorporates Women in Logistics

CILT has joined forces with Women in Logistics UK and set up a new forum to promote diversity and inclusion in logistics.

The new Women in Logistics Forum will provide opportunities for the logistics and transport profession, and other key stakeholders, to support women working in the sector and identify and address the challenges to recruitment and retention.

“I am delighted to welcome Women in Logistics as part of CILT,” said Kevin Richardson FCILT, chief executive, CILT. “We are looking forward to working closely with the Forum to display a united front and portray our profession as the home of equal opportunities for all genders.”

Ruth Waring FCILT, founder, Women in Logistics, and chair of the new forum said: “I am very excited about the incorporation. It provides a huge opportunity to our current and future members to better engage with and understand the sector.”
