CKYH reduces capacity on Europe-routes

CKYH-shipping companies streamlining offer on Asia-Europe trade-line

The CKYH-shipping alliance (Coscon, „K“ Line, Yang Ming, Hanjin) is about to reduce the offer on the routes between Asia and Europe (northern continent) considerably. By implementing several measures between December and March, the capacity of the liner services is to be cut by 16,000 TEU per week, which equals about 30 percent of the currently available volume.

The package of measures adopted by the members of the CKYH is targeted to combine the two liner services AES and AEN by the CNEU-service. This plan shall be implemented at the end of November. Moreover, the loops AES1, AES2 and AES3 will be streamlined. The CNEU-service will call the European ports of Rotterdam, Felixstowe, Hamburg and Antwerp.
