New logistics facility at Dachser’s location in Oslo (Norway)

Dachser launches realises investment to strengthen its presence in Norway’s market for transport and logistics services:

A new branch office in Oslo signals that the internationally operating logistics provider Dachser is expanding its Norwegian business. On a new industrial estate south of Norway’s capital an administrative building measuring 1,100 m² and a 1,900 m² transit terminal with 26 gates will be built. The construction works will start in November 2011; the new facility should start operating by June 2012.

Norway is an important component of Dachser’s Scandinavian and pan-European network. The decision to create a new location reflects an increased demand for intelligent transport and logistics solutions and shall ensure continuous high quality on the spot. “The new branch office in Oslo will enable Dachser to handle ever increasing consignment volumes with even greater efficiency while safeguarding our high quality standards,” explains Michael Schilling, Dachser’s managing director for European Network Management & Logistics Systems. Dachser has had its own branches in Norway, Denmark and Sweden since 2005. The companies have a total of 330 employees in this region.
