Conair extends contract with Great Bear

Electrical appliance maker Conair, whose brands include BaByliss and Cuisinart has extended its contract with Great Bear.

The contract extension will see Great Bear continue to manage warehousing and distribution at Conair’s Lancashire warehouse for a further five years.

Liesl Ward, regional operations director at Great Bear said: ‘Conair has been a key customer of Great Bear for the past three years, over the period both companies have worked in partnership to develop the operation and deliver excellent service to Conair’s customers. We look forward to continuing to grow the relationship over the coming years.’

In 2011, Conair bought a 232,000 sq ft unite at The Revolution in Chorley to use as a distribution hub for its health and beauty products and kitchen and electronic appliances.

* Cott Beverages has signed a contract with Great Bear to provide warehousing services in the Midlands. Existing operations will transfer from a Great Bear facility in Derbyshire to a facility close to Junction 26 of the M1 Motorway near Nottingham.

The site will act as the main warehouse for the manufacturer’s production facility in Kegworth and provides Cott with a robust single site solution to support the future growth of their operations.
