Croatia receives permission for cabotage with all EU Member States
Following the accession of Croatia to the European Union on 1st July 2013, a two-year transitional period until 30 June 2015 provided for a bilateral ban on cabotage between the EU Member States and Croatia. After 19 EU Member States, including Germany, had repealed the ban on cabotage with Croatia two years later, on 1 July 2015, the ban on cabotage with Croatia ended according to the accession treaty between the EU and Croatia as of 30 June 2017 in Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Austria and Slovenia.
Thus from 1st July 2017, in all EU/EEA States, carriers from these countries are mututally permitted to carry out three cabotage transportations within seven days following a transnational transport in another EU member state or in the EEA countries Iceland, the Principality of Liechtenstein and Norway, the German forwarding and logistics association (DSLV) informs in a letter.
