CSAV revises Asia-Black Sea service

CSAV has announced a new service structure for its Asia -Black Sea trade route starting operations during February 2012.

The service will add a direct call to the Port of Busan and continue serving the main ports in China on the Asian end and Beirut, Piraeus and Istanbul on the East Mediterranean-Black Sea range. A dedicated feeder network will connect to ports in the East Mediterranean, South of Turkey and key destinations on the Black Sea (Ukraine, Romania, Russia, Georgia).

The new port rotation is as follows: Busan – Shanghai – Ningbo – Hong Kong – Chiwan – Singapore westbound– Jeddah – – Beirut – Piraeus – Istanbul – Piraeus – Jeddah – Salalah – Singapore eastbound – Qingdao.

A company statement said "This new service structure will significantly improve our system efficiency levels and develop a broad coverage with high degree of reliability, thus attending the growing needs of this trade line."

The company also announced that it will introduce a direct service between China and the Black Sea, providing direct calls to Ukraine and Romania, in the first quarter of 2012.
