Cupcake maker chooses moving temperature-controlled operation

CoolKit has teamed-up with London-based cupcake company, Lola’s Cupcakes, to create an ‘industry-first’ van conversion operation.

The company will showcase the cakes as Lola’s Cupcakes delivers to outlets across the capital and nationwide, while maintaining a temperature controlled environment to uphold food hygiene regulations.

Additionally, the vans will comply with low emission zones.

CoolKit, which is a temperature-controlled light commercial vehicle converter, has worked with Lola’s Cupcakes since 2018, when it first provided two converted Ford Connect vans.

The new concept build is a refrigerated conversion of a Maxus e-Deliver 3.

Commenting on the concept build, Asher Budwig, Managing Director of Lola’s Cupcakes said: “Lola’s transport manager finds that people are always asking if we have cupcakes on board our vans, so we thought that finding a way to showcase the product as it’s heading to its destination would be a clever way to advertise.”
