Dachser Austria starts into its second decade with a new director

10th anniversary of Dachser Austria: Günter Hirschbeck is holding the function of the managing director of the forwarding company effective 19 May 2014

These days Dachser Austria is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Since it has been founded in 2004 the Austrian subsidiary of the German forwarding group of the same name has been developing into a benchmark in the market of transport services for general cargo, part and full loads. In addition, the company offers integrated logistics concepts for customers from the food/non-food, beverages and consumer goods industries, as well as air and sea freight forwarding services.

The relevant network includes stations in Linz-Hörsching, Himberg near Vienna, Wundschuh near Graz, Hall in Tyrol, Lauterach and Ainring (Germany) for the region of Salzburg. The Dachser Austria 450 employees have planned with 1.5 million shipments weighing 1.4 million tonnes in total last year.

As of now, Günter Hirschbeck (47) is in charge of Dachser Austria. Effective May 19, the trained freight forwarding and logistics specialist has been appointed managing director. This position was previously temporarily held by Michael Schilling, COO Road Logistics at the Dachser group.

The branch in Linz-Hörsching is also seeing a personnell change these days. Mr. Michael Rauhofer is taking over as head of the branch. He succeeds Ms. Sonja Kelich, who will retire.
