Damco and SNTL partner in Morocco

Damco has partnered with Morocco-based fleet operator, SNTL, to develop integrated and customised logistics solutions for the Moroccan market.

The joint venture  –  SNTL Damco Logistics  –  will help Damco to provide a strong added-value, integrated logistics service and specialised logistics platform to its customers in Morocco.

To boost the partnership, SNTL will invest up to US$175 million in new logistics centres in six prominent Moroccan cities; Casablanca, Tangier, Agadir, Fes, Meknes and Marrakech.

These centres will be established within five years, to better manage the import and export operations and national cargo flows.

SNTL’s first logistics centre that will be fully operational is the 28-hectare Mohammedia Zenata, which opens in February.

Strategically located near the Casablanca port and the main roads, the first phase of the project is ready with a 36,000 m2 warehouse combining dry and cold storage.

The facility provides dry storage for palletised and non-rackable cargo, cold storage with positive and negative temperatures, container yard for dry and reefer containers, bonded warehouse for non-cleared cargo and parking space for international truckers.
