Damco opens mega warehouse in Vietnam

Damco has officially opened a new 26,000 m² distribution centre in Binh Duong to support its growth in both its international and domestic volumes.

Located 30 km from Ho Chi Minh City, the new distribution centre further strengthens Damco’s network in Vietnam, which includes nine existing facilities.

The new facility is well connected by road transport, and allows it to serve both Cat Lai and Cai Mep ports.

Plans are also underway to further link the facility to barge infrastructure to supplement truck transport.

According to Narin Phol, country manager for Damco in Vietnam & Cambodia, the new distribution centre will operate as an integrated logistics centre offering multipurpose warehousing, a humidity-controlled environment, access to inland container depots and barge connectivity.

The company plans to develop this facility into an international consolidation hub, linking the Indochina region through its cross-border solutions.
