Danone extends contract with Kuehne + Nagel in Poland

Danone, one of the world’s largest health food companies, has extended its cooperation agreement with the global logistics provider Kuehne + Nagel for another three and a half years.

In Poland, Kuehne + Nagel provides temperature-controlled warehousing and co-packing logistics services for Danone, using a purpose-built 13,000 sq m new facility located in Święcice near Warsaw and the already existing distribution centre in Chorzów (4,000 sqm) in the south of the country. For both activities, Kuehne + Nagel is Danone’s exclusive logistics provider. The two companies have been cooperating successfully for almost ten years.

The products are delivered from the Danone factories and picked based on customer orders with pick-by-voice technology. Both facilities are temperature-controlled and feature racking solutions such as gravity racks. Apart from Poland, Kuehne + Nagel provides logistics services for Danone in strategic markets such as in France, Ukraine, Brazil and Italy.

"We are very pleased to strengthen and extend our partnership with Danone in Poland. It is our priority to ensure high quality and flexible logistics services. Focused on advanced information systems and the use of project management tools and methodologies, Kuehne + Nagel ensures value-added logistics processes for Danone in particular and the demanding FMCG sector in general," said Tobias Jerschke, Managing Director of Kuehne + Nagel in Poland.
