DB Schenker Hungary appoints new managing director

Sándor Barényi to succeed recently retired László Káldor as managing director, Schenker Kft.
 
A personnel change took place at the management board of Schenker Kft. 
 
László Káldor, managing director/member of the management board of the Hungarian branch Schenker Kft., retired on 31 March. He has been instrumental in the development of the company for many years and was in charge of air/sea freight and rail transport.
 
His successor is Sandor Barenyi (43), previously responsible for logistics and finance, who changed from the supervisory board to the management on 1 April 2013. He will be in charge of contract logistics/SCM and air/sea freight, fairs/removals, and finance. Barenyi joined the company in 2006 and has experience in responsible positions in the logistics industry.
 
Arpad Vasarhelyi, CEO of Schenker Kft., will assume responsibility for rail transport in addition to his existing tasks. He is in charge of land transport, sales, IT, security and procurements, human resources, customs and the company’s sites.
