DB Schenker Logistics is air cargo-pioneer at Paris CDG airport

DB Schenker company Airport Terminal Handling S.A. is the first TAPA-certified service provider at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport

DB Schenker company Airport Terminal Handling SA has received the A-level certificate of the Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) for its ground handling services at the DB Schenker hub – as the first service provider at Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris, by their own account. The external certification body Bureau Veritas Certification thereby rewards the efforts made by DB Schenker for increasing the safety for transported and endangered goods.

The certification is recognised worldwide as one of the most stringent independent security certifications in the field of logistics. The TAPA Freight Security rules include instructions regarding buildings, equipment and processes with the aim of ensuring the safety of goods while the goods are in the care of the logistics provider.

In France DB Schenker Logistics operates a network of 100 own sites. Providing services in the segments of land transport, air freight, sea freight and logistics their about 5,600 employees generated sales of about EUR 1.1 billion in 2012.
