DB Schenker Logistics wins five-year contract with Intersport
DB Schenker Logistics has signed a five-year agreement with Intersport, a Swedish sports retailing chain. The agreement covers the storage of the whole of Intersport’s range for the Swedish market.
Schenker Logistics will store Intersport’s products at its logistics centre at Landvetter Airport, outside Gothenburg. The facility, which has yet to officially open, is set to cover 31,540 sq m initially, but will be extended to a total of 50,440 sq m to handle the new assignments. The logistics centre will open on April 23, with the extension set to be completed in September.
"We’re looking forward to our new collaboration with DB Schenker, which will improve the efficiency of our freight flows and give us a higher level of quality throughout the whole of our logistics operations," stated Fredrik Johanson, President of Intersport.
