DB Schenker streamlines its Board in Austria and SEE

Long-standing Board Member Reinhard Just goes into retirement; Kurt Leidinger and Helmut Schweighofer take over additional divisions

The supervisory board of Schenker & Co AG has announced that long-standing Board Member Mag. Reinhard Just will resign his position and enter retirement on April 1, 2015. At that time, Mag. Helmut Schweighofer, who has been a Member of the Board since 2013, will be taking over the responsibilities of the Land Transport division from Mag. Reinhard Just. In addition to his own duties on the Board, CEO of Schenker & Co AG Kurt Leidinger will in turn take over the Air Freight division from Helmut Schweighofer.

Reinhard Just began his career at DB Schenker 30 years ago. In 2004, he was promoted to the Board of Schenker & Co AG in Vienna. In this role, he made a significant contribution to process optimization in the Land Transport segment. Between 2004 and 2014, Schenker & Co AG’s revenue from land transport in the South East Europe region increased by 39 percent. “We wish Mag. Just all the best, and we are glad that he will continue to consult with our company in an advisory capacity so that we may call upon his many years of expertise,” says CEO Kurt Leidinger.

Starting on April 1, 2015, DB Schenker in Austria and South East Europe will be led by the “Board of Four”: Kurt Leidinger (CEO, air freight, sales), Mag. Helmut Schweighofer (land transport, including rail), Michael Meyer (finance and accounting, controlling, legal, and purchasing), and Mag. Alexander Winter (ocean freight, and logistics).
