DB Schenker (Vienna) pushes railway logistics for agricultural goods

GMP+B4.5 certificate confirms high quality of sensitive transportations with Rail Logistics and Forwarding by DB Schenker Logistics
 
DB Schenker Logistics‘ division Rail Logistics and Forwarding (RLF) manages the transport of food and fodder meeting the highest quality standards. The RLF team based in Vienna is in charge of AUstria and the region Southeastern Europe, and was recently awarded the GMP+B4.5 certificate for the transport of agricultural products throughout Europe. Many customers from the food and fodder sector are requiring this quality proof when awarding transport orders. The abbreviation "GMP" (Good Manufacturing Praxis) joins a great number of directions for quality assurance of production and processes for drugs, active substances, pharmaceutical products as well as food and fodder.
 
Rail Logistics and Forwarding in Vienna organises the railway transport of several groups of cargo from this segment, including loose and packed food and fodder as well as primary packaging. In 2011 they handled a total of 3,379 wagons with goods from this sector; in 2012 the trend is rising. The offer comprises also customer-specific block train solutions. Recently they transported organic grain in 17 block trains from Romania to Germany.
 
From Vienna Rail Logistics and Forwarding (RLF) organises all kinds of rail transportations, ranging from single wagon traffic to block trains, for Austria and Southeastern Europe. The DB Schenker PowerRailer, a scheduled block train service to the Southeast European countries, has been one of the most successful products for years.
