Developer snaps up 721,000 sq ft Nottinghamshire logistics site

db symmetry, the joint venture between Barwood Developments and Delancey that only started this year, has snapped up a strategic motorway site in Nottinghamshire for a new distribution park.

The company has bought a 48-acre site at Junction 34 of the A1(M) motorway that has outline planning permission for 721,000 sq ft of employment space from Rossington Blyth. The firm will create a major new distribution park – to be called Symmetry Park Nottingham – and has instructed Savills and Dove Haigh Phillips as joint letting agents.

The acquisition spearheads a significant business expansion strategy in the Northern markets for db symmetry. Andrew Dickman, director at db symmetry, comments: “The scale and superb connectivity makes this a truly recognisable logistics location, which we believe will generate excellent demand. This site provides db symmetry with its first major project east of the Pennines although we look forward to further increasing the number of projects in this region in the near future.”

Dave Robinson, industrial director at Savills, adds: “This is one of the few sites in the region that is capable of delivering large scale industrial development. “

Savills advised db symmetry on the acquisition while Rossington Blyth was represented by Dove Haigh Phillips.
