ECS Group expands in Vietnam

ECS Group is continuing the expansion of its global network with the opening of new offices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam under the name of Globe Air Cargo Vietnam.

The company has also won its first GSA contract from Jade Cargo.

Plans are already underway for further expansion within Vietnam and the Mekong River Delta area.

Globe Air Cargo will market capacity on Jade Cargo’s twice-weekly Boeing 747-400 freighter services, which operate into Vietnam from China and carry on to India, Dubai and Amsterdam.

Globe Air Cargo is responsible for filling Hanoi’s 50% share of the aircraft’s capacity.

In addition to Jade Cargo, Globe Air Cargo already represents Brussels Airlines and Ukraine International Airlines in Vietnam.

ECS plans to extend its office network in India and Africa as well as the Far East during the course of 2011. Its network already incorporates 43 subsidiaries in 30 countries.

In total, the group generates 487,000 tonnes of air cargo a year for more than 100 airline customers.
