Edinburgh Woollen Mills awards five year contract to Clipper

Edinburgh Woollen Mill has signed a five-year contract with Clipper Logistics which will provide logistics services, predominantly on an exclusive basis.

EWM has been expanding through acquisition and now owns the Austin Reed, Peacocks, Jane Norman and Jaeger brands.

Mark Hebditch, group logistics director at EWM Group, said: “We are delighted to have successfully concluded our negotiations and to be entering into a contractual relationship with Clipper, initially for five years, but we hope that it will be a long, successful and prosperous partnership for both parties.”

Clipper chairman Steve Parkin said: “I am delighted that, throughout a detailed tender process we have been able to demonstrate our ability to act proactively as a team and to develop a logistics solution which will make a real difference to the EWM Group’s business.”
