Egger to establish their first distribution hub in the U.S.

The manufacturer of wood-based materials thus takes a decisive step towards strengthening the market position in the US. This autumn, the warehouse near Detroit (Michigan) will become operational, providing customers in the US with better availability and higher competitiveness.

“Our long-term goal is to become the leading brand for solutions for living and working with wood, even in America,” says Ulrich Bühler, Head of Sales and Marketing at the Egger Group. “Through our sales activities, we already know that our product range is highly attractive to architects, designers, retailers and industrial customers in the US. With easier accessibility and short delivery times, we can also serve these needs,” he says.

The Egger Group based in St. Johann in Tyrol is a family company producing wood materials. Founded in 1961, the company employs 8,145 people today. The Egger Group produces 7.9 million cubic meters of wood materials per year, including cut timber. This resulted in a group turnover of EUR 2.38 billion in 2016/17.
