Ekol to incorporate Turkey branch of Transuniverse Belgium

Ekol Logistics continues to grow in Europe by merging with the Turkey branch of Transuniverse Group of Belgium
 
Ekol Logistics has merged with Transuniverse Belgium by incorporating Transuniverse Nakliyat ve Lojistik Ticaret A.Ş., which is the Turkey branch of one of the logistics company of Belgium, the Transuniverse Group. The company, which has offices in Istanbul and Bursa, has been operating in the Turkish market since 1989. Transuniverse Chairperson Frank Adins stated:  "As a market leader in the transportation in the Belgium-Turkey line, we are intending to acquire more shares in this line through the incorporation of the Turkish branch of Transuniverse by Ekol Logistics".
 
Founded in 1983, Transuniverse provides services in every part of Europe with its turnover of Euro 50 million and more than 100 employees. Transuniverse has branches in Italy, Greece, Romania and Turkey besides Belgium, and it transfers its settlement in Turkey to Ekol Logistics as of January 1st, 2013.
 
Tayfun Öktem, CEO of Ekol Logistics, explains: "Incorporation of Transuniverse Nakliyat ve Lojistik A.Ş. will help us make the Western European line one of our strongest commercial bridges in addition to our recent investments in seven different countries in Europe. In this regard, we will continue to provide higher-quality services to our customers."
 
At the date of establishment in 1990, Ekol adopted an ambitious aim to become a leading brand in Europe. Today, their distribution centers offer more than 400,000 m² indoor areas in Turkey, as well as 86.000 m² in Germany, Italy, Greece, Ukraine, Bosnia and Romania, operated by about 5,200 employees.
