Paul Hartmann AG, a leading European provider of medical and hygienic products, honoured the Carrier of the Year Intercompany Road also this year. The Elvis AG from Alzenau won the popular award on 24 March, the first time a service provider wins in a row.
More than 20,000 annual full truck load services between the different production and logistics sites of Hartmann are provided by six major forwarders. Thus the service providers contribute substantially to the functioning of the internal supply chain of the company.

The evaluation of the forwarding companies is based on clearly defined performance metrics that measure the reliability of this segment of the supply chain. In addition, it is also considered how operational handling of the service providers is perceived by the Hartmann logistics staff. The specified figures are checked for compliance on a regular basis and both parties are continuously working to optimise the respective processes.
