ELVIS in search for cool transport partners in Austria

Full loads at a temperature range of 4 -17° C to mark ELVIS’ entry into the cool chain segment launching from January 2015

ELVIS AG plan to expand its service portfolio by launching a division for temperature controlled transports in January 2015. They intend to establish an area-covering transport network of medium-sized transport companies with their own fleets operating in this sector. Initially the focus lies on full truck loads in German-speaking countries, with part loads being added at a later date.

About 100 companies – potential members – have been invited to the kick-off event by ELVIS on 8 October. The challenge is the segmentation of the market, as points out Jochen Eschborn, CEO ELVIS AG: „There are providers specialising in the transportation of particular products. Whether it’s meat, fish or vegetables – we have to bring them all under one roof.”

The CEO of ELVIS assumes the new concept will be well received in the market: „With the planned network for cooled products we are offering midsized carriers a solution to systematically handle full loads to for the first time.“ ELVIS as a European cargo network with over 130 partners had the relevant experience in the segment of full and part loads.

With its entry into the temperature-controlled transport segment ELVIS AG continues to follow its consistent growth path. The main target market is Germany, but also partners from Austria and Switzerland shal be attracted. According to Eschborn soon not solely full loads will be transported: „For the future, we are planning to add part loads to our temperature-controlled transportation service range. Particularly in the refrigerated goods market we see  a strong demand for standardized transport solutions in the segment of part loads. “
