Enhanced overnight service with LSi for Slovakia

Logistics service provider LSi provides new options to Siemens Healthcare in supply of technicians in Slovakia:

Specialising on high quality express services and project logistics, LSi offers from now an enhanced overnight service from Greater Frankfurt am Main for Slovakia. The new service concerns the east or the country, where deliveries to the region around Kosice are carried out before 8 am.

The enhanced and so far unique delivery service was elaborated on behalf of Siemens Healthcare. The medical technology division of the Munich group ships daily spare parts from Neu-Isenburg, which must be available for the technicians of the Slovak company the next morning. The shipments accepted before 6 pm weigh between a few grams like a circuit board to 150 kilograms or more like a tube for a computer tomograph. Providing this accelerated service offer as an integrated part of the “High Performance Network“, Siemens Healthcare wants to distinguish itself from its competitors in Slovakia, and expand its local market leadership.

The cooperation of LSi and Siemens in Slovakia started July 2011. “The challenge was to reach an area-covering performance level in Slovakia. The western part of the country can be reached quite good, whereas the east, as eg. Kosice, has quite bad infrastructure, which prolongs transport time. We found a solution and implemented it successfully“, explains LSi head Reinhard Klausner. There are no weight or volume limits for Siemens AG’s spare parts supply in Slovakia.

LSi (Logistik Service individual) is a logistics service provider, who has specialised on the one hand on European express shipment of high quality, time sensitive goods, and on the other hand on demanding project logistics. The enterprise based in Kirchheim near Munich was established in 2000 by Reinhard Klausner. At three locations (Munich, Frankfurt/Main, Barcelona) 15 commercial employees are at work. They dispose of the vehicles of 30 sub enterprises with exclusive agreements. In the segment of project logistics LSi is acting on behalf of scientific institutions and transports equipment devices for expeditions and research travels to the most remote places in the world. LSi handles the transport to and from the places as well as customs clearance for import and export. The regional focuses of the express service provider include Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Norway, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia as well as Romania and Bulgaria.
