Eniram Ltd. and LEHMANN & MICHELS GmbH sign distribution agreement

Dynamic Trimming Assistant saves costs and reduces emissions

LEHMANN & MICHELS GmbH, German specialists in the production of technical measuring instruments for large engines, and Eniram Ltd., Finnish provider of decision support systems for the shipping industry, have signed an exclusive distribution agreement for the German market. With immediate effect LEHMANN & MICHELS GmbH can supply Enirams Dynamic Trimming Assistant (DTA), a decision support system for environmentally friendly and more energy efficient seafaring.

The DTA constantly measures the dynamic trim of the vessel and processes all available and relevant machine and navigation data. Using its self-learning characteristics, the DTA then displays the optimum trim for the prevailing circumstances. This enables to the crew to easily minimize vessels water resistance, decrease fuel consumption and thus reduce emissions.

First installations of the DTA system in cruise and freight vessels have demonstrated considerable savings on fuel costs and emissions. Fuel savings of up to 5% have been made possible by using this system.
