Esprit opts for TGW’s DropBox
International fashion brand Esprit has awarded TGW Logistics a contract, to install its new DropBox picking solution at its European distribution centre in Mönchengladbach, Germany.
Esprit distributes some 25,000 packages to its customers every day, it has a presence in more than 40 countries, including around 1,000 retail stores and 9,000 wholesale points.
Operated by logistics provider Fiege, the brand’s Mönchengladbach site has the capacity to handle up to one million items a day.
TGW has now designed and installed the new DropBox system there, to ensure that all goods are in the right location at the right time.
“The sorted sequence of the goods in the carton reduces the amount of work involved for employees in the shops,“ said project manager at TGW, Peter Ehrenhuber.
