Euro-tunnel truck transport hits record numbers

Eurotunnel’s truck carrying service ‘Le Shuttle Freight’ has hit record numbers with 1,483,000 million trucks transported between 1 January and 25 November this year.

More trucks were carried than in the full year 2015, which was also a record-breaking year. In the first ten months of 2016, Le Shuttle Freight grew by upwards of 12 per cent.

“Our business creates extraordinary value for our customers who are themselves confident in their outlook for 2017,” said Jo Willacy, Eurotunnel commercial director. “The investment programme we have pursued will ensure that we are able to continue this growth through the coming years.”
