Euryza shipping up to Eastern Europe with Hellmann

Euryza GmbH, a producer of processed foodstuff, has been using Hellmann Worldwide Logistics’ warehousing and transport services since 1 December 2013. European supply of customers from industry and food retail trade, with a focus on Germany, Switzerland, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe, is effected from the Osnabrück multi-user facility of Hellmann, which is certified according to HACCP.

The logistics outsourcing has been part of the realignment of the production of Euryza. As a result of the fierce competition in the production and refinement of rice, the rice mill in Hamburg had to be closed in mid 2013, and the production had to be shifted to Antwerp.

Since 1 December 2013 a daily average of eight incoming transports are handled for Euryza in the Hellmann distribution facility in Osnabrück. As to outgoing goods, up to 450 pallets are registered. Work is carried out strictly according to FIFO and in a multi-shift system. Short-term fluctuations in volume can be dealt quickly and efficiently by flexible capacities in staff and equipment, including the use of mobile data collection devices of the latest generation.

Euryza’s rice assortment is delivered from Antwerp, and stored on up to 10,000 spaces in the fully automated high-bay warehouse. Also Big Bags are provided in a separate block storage. Full pallets and singled trays are picked on order. The assembly of displays for the daily business as well as the set up and filling of displays for promotional offers in shops are also included in the order processing, Hellmann provides for Euryza on a daily basis.
