Evri is experiencing service delays

Courier Evri has apologised for ‘short, localised delays’ in its parcel delivery services. It claims this is a result of a multitude of factors combining to cause disruptions.

Evri blames the delays on high Christmas volumes, additional parcels in its network due to Royal Mail strikes, staff shortages, and severe weather conditions. It says snow, and ice, and fog are slowing down its vans and trucks.

The Royal Mail strikes have led to an increase in people sending parcels with other delivery services like Evri during what is already the busiest time of year for deliveries.

Evri is currently delivering more than 3 million parcels per day and claims that its ‘teams across the country are working hard to make sure parcels are delivered in time for Christmas.’
