“Federal Shimanto“ carries steel products and project loads in Brake

Reederei Fednav connecting seaport of Brake and the Great Lakes in US and Canada on a regular basis

Federal Shimanto is the eight vessel of the Canadian shipping company Fednav to call the breakbulk terminal of J. Müller Group in Brake/Unterweser this year. Iron and steel products, as well as project components have been loaded.

Fednav has been running the Federal Atlantic Lakes Line (FALLLine) for decades, offering a monthly connection from German North Sea ports to several ports at the Great Lakes. They are calling Canadian and US ports: Sorel, Hamilton, Cleveland, Detroit, Burns Harbor and Milwaukee.

The hallmark of Fednav is the manyfold fleet. The vessels can carry bulk goods as well as iron and steel, wind power components and project load in combination. Thanks to the sizes of the vessels, ranging from 20,000 to 56,000 tdw, the shipping company is able to individually take on different load volumes. In Bremen and Hamburg Fednav is represented by the Paul Günther Schiffsmakler GmbH & Co. KG.
