Finsterwalder Transport & Logistics entering the Austrian market
Since August, Finsterwalder Transport & Logistik GmbH, headquartered in Türkheim, Allgäu (Germany), has founded its own freight forwarding site in Austria. The new office at Hosnedlgasse 33 in 1220 Vienna organises FTL / LTL transports to / from Austria and the rest of Eastern Europe.
As a German family business, Finsterwalder offers integrated logistics solutions for trade and industry. In the transport, logistics, warehousing logistics and railport divisions, with 260 own vehicles and permanent transport partners, full and less than full truck loads as well as general cargo are transported in the system-managed CargoLine network. Further important components for market-oriented logistics solutions are 250,000 m² of warehouse and 110,000 m² of open warehouse space throughout Germany, as well as the operation of a railport by Deutsche Bahn in Halle an der Saale.
Finsterwalder Transport & Logistik has 80 years of company history. In 2016, the company generated sales of EUR 167 million with some 1,500 employees at 18 locations in Germany, the Netherlands, Estonia and now also in Austria.
