Gebrueder Weiss opens EUR 10 million logistic terminal in Bulgaria

New logistic hub in Musachevo gives Gebrueder Weiss new business opportunities in the directions to Central Asia and the Caucasus

The Bulgarian arm of Austrian transport and logistics services provider Gebrueder Weiss announced on Friday it launched a EUR 10 million terminal in Musachevo, near the capital Sofia. The facility comprises warehouses, cross-docking area and office space.

The company plans to use the new logistic hub to expand to Central Asia and the Caucasus, it said in a press release.

Gebrueder Weiss entered Bulgaria in 1994 and opened a logistic facility in Sofia in 2003. In 2014 Gebrueder Weiss Bulgaria generated a turnover of EUR 11.08 million, up from EUR 8.9 million a year earlier.
