Gefco Austria is expanding operations to Eastern Europe

Gefco Austria adds daily general cargo service from Spillern near Vienna to Zagreb to its East Europe schedule

Gefco Austria continues to expand operations to Eastern Europe. As of now the company offers customers a daily general cargo service from the location in Spillern, Lower Austria, to Zagreb, Croatia. From this Gefco branch the goods are locally distributed to recipients in Croatia. It is mostly automotive parts, such as spare parts, tyres and rims, that are carried on the new liner service.

With this general cargo service to Zagreb, Gefco Austria intend to consolidate their position as a hub for cargo transport to Eastern Europe. From Spillern they also serve the Gefco branch in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Christian Janoschek, branch manager of the Gefco location in Spillern and his staff team of three are in charge of surveillance and control of loading and trucks, as well as handling of dangerous goods shipments.

“Eastern Europe has great importance for our enterprise. Particularly in Croatia, we see a market with great potential for our customers“, says Thomas Ziegler, managing director Gefco Austria. “”With four locations in Austria we have an international transport network, which we are continuously expanding, and which allows us to plan and control house-to-house concepts for enterprises from all industries.”

Gefco, with the five core competencies overland, overseas, warehousing and returnable container management, vehicle logistics, customs clearance and fiscal representation, offers global solutions for all requirements of industrial logistics (national or international), for procurement and distribution.
