Geis Group takes over Logwin Solutions Poland

Geis Group pushes expansion of Road Services and Logistics Service in Poland by purchasing Logwin’s branch offices in  Sokolów, Poznan and Lodz.

Geis Group strengthens its position in the Polish market for transport and logistics services with a company acquisition.  On 1 January, the international acting company has acquired all shares of Logwin Solutions Poland Sp z oo. The Polish subsidiary specializes in national and international land transport as well as logistics solutions and value added services. The two companies agreed not to disclose on purchase price.

All three Logwin subsidiaries in Sokołów/Warschau, Poznan und Lodz with 80 employees in total are affected by this deal. The entire fleet with its 34 vehicles is now part of the Geis Group. “With the three new branch offices we are significantly strengthening our presence in Poland”, managing partners Hans-Georg Geis and Wolfgang Geis say. For Geis Group Poland continues to be an important growth market within Europe and therefor they will expand local involvement in the future step by step.

Geis Group startet its presence in Poland in 2006, first with the two branches of the Geis Cargo International Poland Ltd which focused on air and sea freight. Middle of 2013 the acquisition of the Polish subsidiary of Quehenberger Logistics took place. Meanwhile it trades as Geis PL Sp z o.o. and offers road and logistics services with 88 employees at seven locations.

Over the next month the total integration of the three new locations into the existing structures of Geis Group is planned. Afterwards the next step is to expand the services in business areas road services and logistics services.
