Geodis Wilson appoints director to spearhead service to retail and fashion industries

Geodis Wilson is pleased to announce the appointment of Gilbert den Bekker as its Vertical Market Director, Retail and Fashion. Based at Geodis Wilson’s office in Paris, France, he will be in charge of developing and expanding the company’s logistics services in the retail and fashion sector worldwide.

Gilbert den Bekker, 39 has extensive experience in the retail and fashion sectors, having worked for many years at companies such as DHL, Danzas and Grimaud International. Gilbert began his career at Grimaud in 1993 and joined Danzas Fashion in 2000 as International Sales Manager. In 2005 he became Director of Business Development, Fashion at DHL with responsibility for logistics and supply chain services specifically within the European fashion sector. Later on he served as Director Account Development, Fashion and Retail, and subsequently as Regional Customer Manager.

With the appointment of Gilbert den Bekker global logistics provider Geodis Wilson continues to enhance its logistics activities in specific industry segments.
