Geodis Wilson opens new distribution centre in Dubai

Forwarder and logistics service provider Geodis Wilson extends its services to the Middle East region by opening a distribution centre in Jebel Ali:

 

Geodis Wilson opens a 8,500 square metre distribution centre in Jebel Ali within the free zone of Dubai. It marks a strategic step in the companies global growth plan. With the new facility the global forwarder and logistics service provider extends its freight forwarding services to a full-service contract logistics model in the Middle East region.

Geodis Wilson invested about EUR 1 million into the Jebel Ali distribution centre, now providing a full range of supply chain solutions, including warehousing services, inventory, labelling, bar-coding, packing pouches, blisters, vendor management as well as distribution. The new facility offers temperature-controlled storage and has configurable racking up to an eaves height of 13 meters.

Geodis Wilson is the freight forwarding arm of SNCF Geodis, a division of the French railway group SNCF. The global freight management company has 6,400 employees in more than 50 countries, and delivers tailor-made, integrated solutions to customers.
