GLS Austria launches new EuroExpressParcel service
Apart from Germany, GLS guarantees delivery also to Benelux, Switzerland and Denmark within 24 hours. GLS offers a range of time-definite options for major export markets like Germany at either 9.00, 10.00 or 12.00 a.m. on the next working day.
GLS has also previously delivered parcels to many neighbouring East European countries within 24 hours. As of now, with its EuroExpressParcel, the company guarantees delivery within 24 hours – otherwise senders get their money back. Senders are also offered a transnational track and trace service.
“EuroExpressParcel is our response to the progressing internationalisation“, says Dr. Axel Spörl, Region Manager GLS Austria & Portugal. “Moreover we are upgrading our product portfolio.“
GLS Austria spricht mit dem neuen Produkt zum einen Bestandskunden an. Zum anderen kommt es Unternehmen entgegen, die bisher auf „Luftexpress“ gesetzt haben, denn der straßenbasierte GLS-Transport ist wirtschaftlicher und somit kostengünstiger. Hinzu kommt, dass Lkw-Transporte wesentlich umweltschonender sind als der Lufttransport.
Axel Spörl: „Der Bedarf an internationalen Express-Lieferungen ist vorhanden, vor allem nach Deutschland, aber auch in andere europäische Länder. Wir planen bereits, das EuroExpressParcel auch in den anderen Bundesländern anzubieten.“
