Gnewt founder steps down

Gnewt Cargo co-founder Sam Clarke has revealed on LinkedIn he is to leave the all-electric fleet courier in the Spring.

Clarke posted on the social media platform: “I can now announce officially, that earlier this year I tendered my resignation from Gnewt and shall be leaving in the Spring. Thanks to all Gnewt by Menzies Distribution for our time together.

“We helped create sustainability in logistics in London at a level that was largely unparalleled, we pioneered best practice, shaped policy, advised governments and have inadvertently educated competitor companies a hundred fold larger, that now rather flatteringly plagiarise our methods.

“I will continue my advisory roles for other organisations, as well as assisting Gnewt and Menzies when required going forward.”

Menzies Distribution acquired Gnewt Cargo in 2017. Gnewt was founded in 2008 and provides final-mile delivery services for retailers, e-tailers and parcel carriers such as Hermes and TNT.
