Gondrand group: Andreas Behnke heading as air and sea manager

Marc Freter to leave the Gondrand group; Andreas Behnke will take over the full responsibility of the group’s air & sea business unit

Marc Freter, co-managing director of the Germany company Gondrand Atege GmbH, and head of the group air & sea business unit, has decided to leave the company in order to pursue a new challenge in the transport industry. As of June 1st, Andreas Behnke will formally take over form Marc Freter the full responsibility of the group air & sea business unit.

“Marc Freter has been a key actor within the Gondrand Group during his 9 years with the company. Many achievements in Gondrand’s air and ocean operations bear his imprint, none more than Gondrand’s extensive network of partners and agents who allow the group to extend its worldwide reach“, the company announces in a press release.

Andreas Behnke’s specific focus on air & sea business during his years at Panalpina, his broad international experience in Asia and the Middle East and his extensive network made him the ideal candidate to fill the position left by Marc Freter and push forward the development of this business unit within the group.

Headquartered in Basel (Switzerland), the Gondrand group is an international forwarding and logistics provider for overland transport, sea freight, air freight and contract logistics. Over the past 140 years, the company has evolved from a traditional haulage company to a global player in the field of integrated logistics, with over 70 branches worldwide and a 1,000-plus headcount.
